About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health and Substance Use Specialist to join our team at the Interior Health Authority. As a Treatment and Recovery Worker, you will play a vital role in providing assessment, treatment, and case management services to individuals with severe and persistent mental health problems and/or problematic substance use issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide assessment, treatment, and case management services to clients with mental health and substance use issues.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address client needs and goals.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support for clients.
  • Provide education and support to clients and their families on mental health and substance use issues.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and client outcomes.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., social work, psychology, counseling).
  • Experience working with individuals with mental health and substance use issues.
  • Strong assessment and treatment planning skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
