Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health and Substance Use Treatment Specialist to join our team at the Interior Health Authority. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide assessment, treatment, and support to individuals with severe and persistent mental health problems and/or problematic substance use issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide assessment, treatment, and case management services to clients with mental health and substance use issues.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address clients' unique needs and goals.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
  • Provide education and support to clients and their families to promote recovery and well-being.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the delivery of mental health and substance use services.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited educational institution in an Allied Health, Behavioural, or Social Science field relevant to the position.
  • Two years' recent related experience in a mental health and substance use environment or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Current valid B.C. driver's license.
