Interior Health Authority is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Life Skills Outreach Worker to become a vital part of our Seniors Mental Health and Substance Use (MHSU) team.


Position Overview:

The Life Skills Outreach Worker plays a crucial role within a multi-disciplinary Mental Health and Addictions Team, delivering a wide range of services designed to support adults facing serious and persistent mental health challenges and/or substance use disorders. This role operates within a psychosocial rehabilitation framework, focusing on enhancing the quality of life for individuals who encounter significant difficulties in their daily activities.


Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will:

  • Provide comprehensive outreach and community-based care to seniors experiencing mental health issues and substance use challenges.
  • Utilize various rehabilitative and treatment approaches tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual.
  • Collaborate with a diverse team of professionals to ensure a holistic approach to care.

Work Schedule:

Shifts will primarily occur during the day, with hours from 08:30 to 16:30.
