At Senior Helpers Vancouver BC, we're seeking compassionate and skilled Health Care Assistants to join our team. As a Health Care Assistant, you'll play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to seniors in their homes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist clients with daily living activities, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
  • Support clients with instrumental activities, like light housekeeping and meal preparation
  • Monitor and report any changes in client condition to the healthcare team
  • Provide assistance with mobility and transferring patients safely
  • Support patients with eating and drinking, adhering to dietary requirements
  • Assist with medication reminders and administration under supervision
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients
  • Offer emotional support and companionship to patients and their families
Requirements:
  • Current registration with the BC Care Aide & Community Health Worker Registry
  • Completion of a recognized Health Care Assistant program
  • Previous experience working as a Health Care Assistant in a healthcare setting preferred
  • Negative TB test completed in the past 90 days
  • A negative Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check issued in the past 90 days
  • Certification in CPR and First Aid (preferred)
  • Reliable transportation and flexibility to work various shifts
