Salary: To be commensurate with qualifications and experience in the range of $50,231 - $59,095 per annum. A furnished on-campus apartment, parking, and meal plan will be provided.

Role Overview:

Acadia University is seeking a Residence Life Coordinator (RLC) to foster an inclusive and supportive Residence Life program that enhances academic achievement, personal growth, and overall wellness for students residing on campus.

The RLC plays a pivotal role in promoting student development and well-being within the residence community. This position is essential in establishing a safe, welcoming, and diverse living environment that encourages both academic success and personal enrichment.

The ideal candidate will possess a sincere commitment to the academic and personal development of students, with an understanding of the significance of residence life at Acadia University. RLCs are integral to university-wide recruitment and retention initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the residence life program.
  • Engage with students to promote a positive living-learning environment.
  • Implement programs that support student health and wellness.
  • Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation and reside on campus.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree combined with relevant work experience.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to student development and well-being.
  • Experience in training and supervising staff, particularly young adults from diverse backgrounds.
  • Availability to respond to student needs at any time, including nights and weekends.
  • Evidence of a commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in a learning and working environment.
