Job Title: Long Haul Truck Driver

ROYCE LOGISTICS LTD is seeking a skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for transporting goods across the country in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and adjust routes to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions using computer equipment and GPS devices.
  • Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy, ensuring the safe transportation of goods.
  • Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, and other equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including brake adjustments and emergency roadside repairs.
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo during transportation.
Requirements:
  • Valid Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
  • Experience with dry bulk, flatbed, and tractor-trailer equipment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with varying weather conditions
