Job Summary
Brock University is seeking a highly qualified Instructor to teach in the Department of Child and Youth Studies. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in the area of childhood arts, including film, literature, sound/music, and visual arts.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate courses in childhood arts, including critical approaches to aesthetics, culture, and theory.
- Develop and implement curriculum that aligns with the department's goals and objectives.
- Assess student learning and provide feedback to students.
- Participate in departmental and university service, including committee work and professional development.
Qualifications
- PhD in Child and Youth Studies or a related discipline.
- Experience in teaching critical approaches to aesthetics, culture, and theory.
- Prior teaching and/or research experience in the study of childhood arts.
- Evidence of competent and effective teaching experience at the undergraduate university level.
