Solar Engineering Manager, Analytics

We are seeking a highly skilled Solar Engineering Manager, Analytics to join our team at PCL Solar Constructors Canada Inc. in the Solar Canada office.
Key Responsibilities- Project Performance Oversight: Ensure the optimal performance of all solar projects, aiming to maximize energy production and revenue.
- Loss Calculation and Analysis: Conduct thorough loss calculations to identify potential issues caused by various outdoor environments.
- Data Monitoring and Analysis: Oversee all data irregularities, monitor trends in project performance, and proactively identify underlying and potential issues.
- Value Engineering and Client Engagement: Understand client drivers and offer value engineering proposals for functionality, cost, and schedule benefits.
- Negotiation and Contract Management: Negotiate availability guarantees, performance ratios, and capacity test exhibits for project contracts through calculations and data analysis.
- Reporting and Communication: Prepare, present, and defend performance testing results and monthly or annual reports to clients and their independent engineers.
- Collaboration and Risk Management: Coordinate with manufacturers and SCADA suppliers while interpreting various technical documents, and identify and manage risk and opportunities on solar projects.
- Education: Bachelor's degree or diploma in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
- Industry Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of the solar industry, including the operation and performance of solar projects.
- Project Management: Ability to monitor and forecast project resources and staffing for the project.
- Risk Management: Ability to identify and manage risk and opportunities on solar projects.
- Technical Skills: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, and Power BI with a strong aptitude for adopting new technology.
