About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Solar Engineering Intern to join our team at PCL Construction. As a key member of our Solar District, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the design and development of innovative solar projects.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in coordinating and managing project design and procurement processes, including taking detailed meeting minutes and following up on open items.
  • Review RFP documentation, drawings/diagrams, Commissioning plans, and electrical studies for key design requirements.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration between project stakeholders using project management software.
  • Ensure project compliance and quality through site operations and maintenance tracking.
  • Streamline project processes by converting Excel inspection test plans into project management templates.
  • Support project success by developing and maintaining Power BI Synoptics design dashboards.
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues.
  • Develop and maintain strong customer-focused relationships with all stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Candidates must have a strong desire to work in a solar design function.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Superior attention to detail.
  • Proficient in various computer software programs, including AutoCad, word processing, and spreadsheet applications.
  • Familiarity with project management software and Power BI is a plus.
