As a Solar Engineering Manager, Analytics, you will play a crucial role in our Solar Canada division:

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the efficiency of solar initiatives to optimize energy output and financial returns.
  • Responsible for assessing potential losses due to varying environmental conditions.
  • Monitor data discrepancies, analyze project performance trends, and proactively address potential challenges.
  • Comprehend client needs and propose value engineering solutions that enhance functionality, cost-effectiveness, and timelines.
  • Negotiate performance guarantees, ratios, and capacity testing agreements for project contracts using data analysis.
  • Prepare and present performance testing outcomes and periodic reports to clients and their independent engineers.
  • Collaborate with manufacturers and SCADA providers while interpreting diverse technical documentation.
  • Maintain awareness of the renewable energy market, including ongoing innovations and challenges.
  • Identify and manage risks and opportunities associated with solar projects.
  • Lead, coach, and mentor a team of direct and indirect reports.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in engineering, construction management, or a related discipline.
  • 10-15 years of progressive experience in construction, with a focus on leadership and mentorship.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the solar sector, particularly in supporting the operation and performance of solar projects.
  • Ability to forecast project resources and staffing needs effectively.
  • Capability to identify and manage risks and opportunities in solar initiatives.
  • Proficient in establishing and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Experience in leading a team of 4-6 individuals.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and Power BI, with a strong inclination towards adopting new technologies.
