Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pre-Fabrication Manager to join our team at Plan Group. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient execution of work in our shop.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Safety Management: Ensure all work in the shop is executed in the safest manner possible, in compliance with company policies and industry standards.
  2. Quality Control: Ensure all work is completed at the level of quality required to satisfy our clients, adhering to our quality management system.
  3. Pre-Construction Meetings: Participate in pre-construction meetings to evaluate the pre-fabrication scope, ensuring a thorough understanding of project requirements.
  4. Project Coordination: Coordinate with the shop coordinator on execution and delivery schedules, ensuring timely completion of projects.
  5. Design Review: Review and comment on spool drawings prior to fabrication, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specifications.
  6. Quality Assurance: Verify completed work with fabrication drawings prior to delivery, ensuring quality meets our standards.
  7. Logistics: Facilitate loading, tracking, and shipping of completed work, ensuring efficient and timely delivery.
  8. Safety Audits: Work closely with the Safety Department to conduct weekly and monthly audits, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  9. Manpower Management: Proactively manage shop manpower, ensuring adequate resources are allocated to meet project demands.
  10. Delivery Coordination: Coordinate deliveries, ensuring timely receipt of materials and equipment.
Requirements
  1. Education: Mechanical Engineering post-secondary education or progressive experience in industrial manufacturing supervision, production control, and production management in a metal fabrication environment.
  2. Skills: Solid understanding of labor planning, familiar with process flow concepts, and shop floor controls.
