Key Responsibilities
  • Assisting in the planning and scheduling of projects, while monitoring progress and managing costs.
  • Reviewing technical drawings and specifications.
  • Coordinating specific work scopes and trades effectively.
  • Verifying quantities of materials, labor hours, and associated rates.
  • Participating actively in project meetings to ensure alignment.
  • Submitting requests for additional information as needed.
  • Updating and maintaining deficiency logs.
  • Producing as-built documentation for project records.
  • Conducting quantity takeoffs for project estimation.
  • Performing safety inspections to uphold workplace standards.
  • Communicating any changes to craft personnel promptly.
  • Establishing and maintaining thorough record-keeping practices.
  • Carrying out additional duties as required.
Qualifications
  • Pursuing a degree or diploma in engineering, preferably with a focus on mechanical or civil disciplines.
  • A strong interest in working within a construction setting; prior field experience is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in various software applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, and drafting tools.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Self-driven and motivated individual.

Working Conditions:

  • Applicants must provide their own CSA-approved steel-toed footwear and be prepared to undergo a Pre-Access Alcohol & Drug Test.
  • Access to a vehicle is necessary due to limited public transportation options to the facility.
