Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at West Coast Seafood+ Raw Bar. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and high-quality food.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures
    • Hire and manage food service staff
  • Food Quality and Safety
    • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards
    • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation
  • Operations and Administration
    • Establish methods to meet work schedules
    • Prepare budget and cost estimates
    • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage
    • Prepare and submit reports
  • Customer Service
    • Address customers' complaints or concerns
    • Prepare food order summaries for chef
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Work Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service environment
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
    • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks
Working Conditions

Our restaurant is a fast-paced environment with a combination of sitting, standing, walking, and physical demands. You must be able to work in a team environment and maintain attention to detail.
