Job Title: Food Service Supervisor

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Okanagan Good Food Inc.

Job Summary:

The Food Service Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department, ensuring that high-quality food and excellent customer service are consistently delivered.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain optimal inventory levels
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring efficient and safe food handling practices
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a clean and healthy work environment
  • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, ensuring accurate ordering and minimizing waste
  • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, addressing any issues promptly and effectively
  • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, providing regular reports to management
  • Establish work schedules, ensuring adequate staffing levels to meet customer demand
Requirements:
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a food service supervisory role
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work under pressure, standing for extended periods, and maintaining attention to detail
