Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Co-ordinate Activities: Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that food is prepared and served in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Train Staff: Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Estimate Ingredients and Supplies: Estimate the ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation, ensuring that we have sufficient stock to meet customer demand.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, maintaining a clean and safe environment for our customers.
  • Customer Service: Address customers' complaints or concerns, providing exceptional customer service and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, providing accurate and up-to-date information to management.
  • Reporting: Prepare and submit reports, providing management with accurate and timely information to inform business decisions.
  • Work Schedules: Establish work schedules, ensuring that staff are adequately staffed to meet customer demand.
Work Environment

The Food Service Supervisor will work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service and high-quality food. The ideal candidate will be able to work under pressure, standing for extended periods, and maintaining attention to detail.

Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a food service environment.
  • Supervision: 5-10 people, including cooks, food service counter attendants, food preparers, kitchen and food service helpers, and staff in various areas of responsibility.
  • Language: English.
