Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Okanagan Good Food Inc. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our fast-paced food service environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Requisition and Inventory Management

Requisition food and kitchen supplies in a timely and cost-effective manner to ensure seamless operations.

Staff Supervision and Training

Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food, providing guidance and training to ensure high-quality service and food preparation.

Quality Control and Assurance

Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, addressing customer complaints or concerns in a professional and timely manner.

Record Keeping and Reporting

Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, preparing and submitting reports as required.

Work Scheduling and Team Management

Establish work schedules and manage a team of 5-10 staff members, including cooks, food service counter attendants, and kitchen helpers.

Requirements
  • Education and Experience

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate and 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a fast-paced food service environment.

Work Environment and Conditions

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, standing for extended periods, and working under pressure.

Personal Suitability

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused approach and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
