Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Alterations Specialist to join our team at David's Bridal in Ontario, CA. As an Alterations Specialist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring that all alterations are completed to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Welcome all customers with genuine, friendly enthusiasm, communicate clearly and concisely, and adapt style to suit customers by problem-solving, excellent phone skills, and resolving conflict.
  • Alterations Management: Use all systems to manage customer flow, deliver five-star customer experience, and maintain all service levels by being prepared, welcoming, meeting the needs, and being there for all customers.
  • Service Excellence: Provide an exceptional service experience to multiple customers at one time, contribute to the store's achievement of Five-Star Customer Service, and proactively address customer concerns with confidence.
  • Alterations Expertise: Communicate how alterations can play an important role in perfecting the dress for her event in partnership with Alterations, promote all alteration services and personalization options, and assist stylists in closing sales by consulting with customers regarding gown fit and customization.
  • Quality Control: Maintain store-standards to support a flawless shopping experience, maintain a high standard of dress that complies with the Dress Code Policy, and inspect all garments altered/steamed/pressed to verify pristine condition before final delivery to customer.
  • Inventory Management: Process special orders pick-ups, ensure first-quality standards for all merchandise, and maintain inventory management to ensure that alteration pricing is at company standards.
  • Team Collaboration: Support all cash wrap behaviors, process transactions with accuracy, and maintain the alterations room so that it is consistently clean and well-organized.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent degree
  • Experience: 1-2 years prior retail experience in an apparel or specialty store environment, prior sewing experience required, preferably in bridal and/or special occasion production environment
  • Skills: Prior experience with computerized POS (Point of Sale) system is a plus
