About the Role:

Holt Renfrew is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fashion Alterations Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our alterations department, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring that our clients' garments are tailored to perfection.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Measure clients to determine the scope of work and provide expert guidance on cut and fit.
  • Pin and mark garments as appropriate to ensure a precise fit, taking into account the type of fabric and client specifications.
  • Complete alterations to the highest technical standard, ensuring that all work is done efficiently and effectively.
  • Deliver completed garments on or before the promised date, maintaining a high level of quality and attention to detail.
  • Inform clients of alteration charges and confirm promise dates for completed work.
  • Partner with Sales Associates to create a seamless customer experience and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Provide expert guidance on garment fit and alterations, ensuring that clients receive the best possible service.
  • Complete designated sections of alterations tags and follow Holt Renfrew's price list.
  • Inform department managers of supply requirements or equipment repair needs, ensuring that the department runs smoothly and efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly department, adhering to all Health & Safety policies and requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with privacy policies, regulations, and cyber security measures.

Requirements:

  • Tailoring or seamstress technical training or its equivalent.
  • 2 years of experience in a similar capacity, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality alterations.
  • Previous experience in altering luxury fabrications, with a strong understanding of high-end materials and techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate comfortably and clearly in English and/or French.
