Position Overview

As a Facilities Operations Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in the management and oversight of maintenance operations for building systems and components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the planning, control, and supervision of maintenance activities for all building systems, ensuring optimal functionality of both interior and exterior components.
  • Guarantee the uninterrupted operation of services through the availability of backup equipment and a dedicated team working around the clock.
  • Oversee daily maintenance tasks, ensuring timely completion and contributing to the development of preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Manage resources effectively, ensuring cost-efficient service delivery to all stakeholders.
  • Participate in the hiring, training, and development of staff, fostering a culture of excellence.
  • Coordinate with external contractors for various maintenance projects and assist in budget management and capital project assessments.
Qualifications

Applicants should possess a valid Building Operator certificate or a relevant trade license (e.g., Millwright, Electrician, Plumber, or Steam Fitter). Proven leadership abilities, strong coaching skills, and emotional intelligence are essential.

A preferred educational background includes college or university-level studies related to building operations and maintenance, or equivalent trade qualifications.

Strong proficiency in reading mechanical and electrical drawings, alongside knowledge of building automation, life safety systems, and HVAC operations, is required.
