Position: Human Resources Manager - Corporate

The Corporate HR Manager will oversee, coordinate, and support the initiatives of the Corporate Human Resources division at Plasman. Acting as a trusted consultant for both the business and corporate personnel, the HR Manager will deliver functional assistance and spearhead corporate-wide HR initiatives and specialized HR projects throughout North America.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Foster robust relationships with corporate management teams to identify gaps, propose solutions, and implement necessary changes.
  2. Examine trends and metrics to formulate solutions, programs, and policies.
  3. Collaborate with corporate management to enhance business success and profitability through the development and execution of strategic plans, policies, and programs.
  4. Serve as an advisor to leadership by offering guidance and coaching on sensitive, confidential, and complex HR matters.
  5. Design strategies for talent development, succession planning, and onboarding within supported teams.
  6. Act as a subject matter expert on employment laws and regulations.
  7. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the organizational structure, job roles, and responsibilities, and conduct primary job evaluations for job classifications and compensation comparisons.
  8. Provide strategic counsel on coaching, leadership development, performance management, and employee relations.
  9. Engage in various initiatives to promote leadership and cultural alignment across all corporate functions in North America.
  10. Contribute as a member of the broader HR team at Plasman, providing insights and direction on overarching HR matters.
  11. Administer payroll for Canadian Corporate employees.
  12. Lead diverse projects that align with the overarching strategic vision.
  13. Collaborate closely with the VP of HR to assess how global strategies impact the corporate leadership team and strategize to enhance business success through innovative HR programs.
  14. Manage immigration submissions and facilitate communication between legal representatives and employees.
  15. Oversee the Recruitment Process across the corporation to effectively attract and select talent.
  16. Advise the Senior Leadership Team on maintaining positive employee relations and ensuring a safe work environment.
  17. Ensure awareness and understanding of ISO 14001 and ISO/IATF16949 (including ISO 9001) Standards, along with company policies and procedures.
Minimum Education / Designation Requirements:

A post-secondary diploma or degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience is required. CHRP designation is considered an asset.

Minimum Work Experience Requirements:

A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in Human Resources (or equivalent), focusing on fostering positive employee relations, including experience in both unionized and non-unionized environments, as well as experience in developing and implementing exemplary policies and practices.
