Production Operator II

Shift Details: This position operates on the 2nd shift, commencing at 3:15 PM, with a 10% shift differential applicable for all hours worked during this period.
Job Overview: The role involves executing tasks related to the manufacturing of pharmaceutical products, adhering to established Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), customer specifications, and all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). The individual is accountable for the safe and effective performance of their responsibilities, ensuring product quality aligns with set standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate machinery across various production processes, including Glatt fluid bed processing, granulation, blending, compression coating, imprinting, banding, and encapsulation.
- Conduct machine changeovers, cleaning, and setup as necessary.
- Diagnose issues and implement adjustments to uphold production specifications.
- Maintain compliance with quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.
- Complete production documentation with accuracy and thoroughness.
- Adhere to all relevant SOPs and cGMPs consistently.
- Execute tasks using equipment safely, in accordance with OSHA regulations and equipment manuals.

The role is situated within a manufacturing, production, or laboratory setting, which may present various environmental factors:
- Noise: Potentially disruptive levels of sound that may affect hearing.
- Fumes: Emissions that may be odorous, resulting from chemical reactions.
- Odors: Unpleasant scents encountered during operations.
- Gases: Includes substances such as carbon monoxide and helium.
- Dust: Airborne particles, including textile dust, wood, and silica.
- Hazards: Risks associated with moving machinery, heights, exposure to burns, toxic chemicals, and electrical hazards.
Physical Requirements:
The physical demands of this position include:
- Regular use of hands for handling and communication.
- Frequent standing, walking, sitting, and various movements such as stooping, kneeling, and bending.
- Capability to lift and carry weights as required.
- Ability to navigate diverse work environments, including labs and production floors.
- Compliance with personal protective equipment requirements, including respirators and safety gear.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent educational background.
- 1-2 years of experience in production or manufacturing, particularly in primary production processes.
- Familiarity with Glatt fluid bed processing, granulation, blending, compression coating, imprinting, banding, or encapsulation.
- Certification for forklift operation or similar equipment is advantageous.
- Strong troubleshooting capabilities.
- Knowledge of cGMP and pharmaceutical regulatory standards.
- Understanding of Occupational Health & Safety protocols.
- Proficient in basic math and computer skills, including MS Office; experience with SAP is beneficial.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Basic proficiency in English (A2 level) is required for this role.
