About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our team at Fairview Medical Pharmacy. As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our pharmacists and healthcare professionals in providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compound and Package Medications: Assist in the preparation and packaging of pharmaceutical products, ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Maintain Inventory and Records: Manage inventory levels, maintain accurate records of medications and prescription records, and perform data entry tasks.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, advising patients on the selection and use of non-prescription medications, and responding to customer inquiries.
  • Administrative Tasks: Assist with billing, calculate charges, and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with healthcare professionals, including pharmacists, doctors, and nurses, to ensure seamless patient care.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Experience in a healthcare setting is an asset.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks.
  • Personal Qualities: Accurate, client-focused, dependable, organized, flexible, reliable, and able to multitask.
