Job Summary:

Toronto Hydro is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Customer Relations Representative to join our team. As a key member of our Customer Care department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and support to our residential, commercial, and industrial customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Provide professional, courteous, and efficient service to customers via phone, email, and in-person interactions.
  • Billing and Collections: Analyze and resolve billing issues, process payments, and manage customer accounts to ensure accurate and timely billing.
  • Account Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers to understand their needs and provide personalized service.
  • Problem-Solving: Investigate and resolve customer complaints and issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with customers, internal stakeholders, and external agencies to resolve issues and provide updates.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve processes and procedures to enhance customer satisfaction and experience.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Education: University degree or three-year College diploma in Business, Communications, Accounting, Finance, or Electrical Technologist/Engineering.
  • Experience: Minimum two years of previous professional work experience in a related field.
  • Skills: Strong analytical, critical thinking, mathematical, and problem-solving skills; highly proficient in MS Office applications; advanced communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of the electricity sector, specifically the Ontario Energy Board (OEB) and other regulatory codes preferred.
  • Adaptability: Demonstrates adaptability and flexibility; able to multi-task in an ever-changing environment.
  • Business Acumen: Demonstrates sound business acumen; understands the relationship between role and customers.
