Key Responsibilities:

  • Familiarize yourself with the suite of tools and technologies utilized by DigiVie and our clientele.
  • Provide support for existing clients and their IT frameworks.
  • Conduct technical evaluations and document systems for both new and current clients.
  • Effectively track and resolve support inquiries through sound decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
  • Oversee projects, including the setup and deployment of physical and virtual servers and IP telephony systems.
  • Execute proactive maintenance tasks on computers, servers, and network infrastructure.
  • Engage in strategic communication with customers.
  • Continuously enhance your knowledge through our career development program focused on technology and IT security.

Qualifications:

  • Residence in the Ottawa area.
  • Minimum of 1 year of technical experience in IT support.
  • Professional demeanor with strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft desktop operating systems and Office 365.
  • Fundamental knowledge of networking technology and principles.
  • Basic experience with domain name registration and DNS management.
  • Ability to contribute positively to a dynamic team environment.
  • A valid Class G driver's license and a vehicle for travel.
  • Completion of a police records check.
  • Full COVID-19 vaccination.

Preferred Experience:

  • Familiarity with Microsoft server operating systems (2012R2 and higher), Exchange, SQL, SharePoint, Active Directory, and Group Policy.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (Hyper-V / VMWare).
  • Knowledge of data backup systems and antivirus platforms.
  • Possession of a two-year associate's degree in a computer-related field or relevant certifications.
  • Experience with RMM and PSA tools (e.g., ConnectWise).
  • Familiarity with SonicWALL Firewalls and Dell PowerEdge Servers.
  • Understanding of SIP-based telephony systems and LAMP-based VPS services.
  • Experience with Microsoft PowerShell and VMware vSphere.
