About the Role

RONA Inc. is seeking a skilled Logistics Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient delivery of products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Route Optimization: Maximize vehicle and delivery efficiency while effectively balancing delivery requirements and meeting safety standards.
  • Delivery Scheduling: Schedule deliveries as per company policy and unique customer requirements.
  • Load Management: Partner loads to maximize vehicle capacity and minimize delivery time and distance.
  • Vehicle and Driver Management: Assign vehicles and drivers to routes, ensuring specialty products are routed on the appropriate truck.
  • Problem Resolution: Notify the appropriate department of problems and initiate corrective action.
  • Team Support: Assist the Dispatch office with answering inquiries, signing in/out drivers, and resolving problems.
Requirements
  • Logistics Expertise: Ability to effectively schedule, route, and coordinate deliveries, taking into account delivery boundaries, traffic restrictions, and load specifications.
  • Product Knowledge: Knowledge of building materials and related products, current inventory levels, and product alternatives.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to motivate, delegate, and communicate effectively.
  • Attention to Detail: Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
