Job Summary

Adecco Canada is seeking a highly motivated and ambitious Restaurant Operations Manager Trainee to join their team in Markham, ON. As a key member of the restaurant management team, you will assist the General Manager in managing the daily operations of a single restaurant, ensuring delivery of exceptional customer experiences and desired restaurant outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Experience: Directs efficient and accurate preparation and sale of products to maximize customer satisfaction.
  • Team Management: Motivates and supports team members to provide an exceptional customer experience.
  • Restaurant Maintenance: Supports maintenance of a restaurant that is noticeably cleaner than others.
  • Coaching and Feedback: Provides coaching and feedback to restaurant team members.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Supports the General Manager to ensure that preventive maintenance of restaurant facility and equipment is completed by company standards.
  • Marketing and Cash Control: Supports the General Manager to implement marketing strategies and follows cash control/security procedures.
  • Inventory and Labor Management: Assists in managing inventory and labor and applies financial reporting analysis to enhance restaurant results.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensures compliance with government regulations, company policies, employment laws, food safety, security, and operations.
  • Recruitment and Talent Management: Supports in recruiting, selecting, hiring, and retaining effective team talent.
Requirements
  • Eligibility: Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada.
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required; 2 years of college preferred.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of restaurant management experience.
  • Certifications: Complete all internal certification programs.
  • Transportation: Must have reliable transportation.
