About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Construction Project Coordinator to join our team at Northern Docks Systems. As a key member of our construction management team, you will be responsible for assisting our Construction Project Managers with project management and documentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all project documentation, including review, completion, and return of project admin documents, contracts, and preliminary submittals.
  • Assist the project management team with day-to-day duties, including coordination with vendors and sub-contractors.
  • Coordinate logistical and equipment requirements for construction projects.
  • Prepare and issue purchase orders to vendors and sub-contractors.
  • Monitor project budgets and track job costing and profitability.
  • Work collaboratively with the project management team to project future labor requirements and arrange site forces in line with project schedules.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of monthly project invoicing.
  • Monitor and report on monthly construction receivables and track all pending and outstanding hold-back payments.
  • Ensure NDS executes work in accordance with project schedules and work plans.
  • Attend project sites to support during construction project meetings.
  • Manage and track all projects through completion of the warranty period.
Requirements
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and within critical time constraints.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time in a productive and efficient manner.
  • Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to create, develop, and maintain positive business relationships with suppliers, vendors, sub-contractors, and colleagues/departments.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
