Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Vice-president - Operations Accounting, the Project Manager - Operations Accounting will oversee the implementation of operations accounting projects and ensure their successful completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation, and implement them
  • Participate in the implementation of new systems, perform tests, and configure them in SAP
  • Ensure the accuracy and validity of transaction data in the computer system
  • Develop financial reports and dashboards to support decision-making
  • Participate in the establishment of relevant KPIs
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the SAP system and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Act as a super-user for BI and SAP
  • Participate in the month-end process
  • Participate in the annual budget process
  • Implement management tools
  • Standardize methods and procedures for the department
  • Provide backup support for the operations accounting team
  • Collaborate with IT as a functional analyst
  • Participate in acquisitions and integration of new entities
  • Train and onboard new team members
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or economics
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar position
  • Experience in finance and control within a multinational company
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is an asset
  • Proficiency in Excel is required
  • Knowledge of SAP software is an asset
  • Excellent communication skills
