Director of Operations

Groupe Leclerc is seeking a seasoned Director of Operations to lead our manufacturing operations in the United States. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving business growth, improving efficiency, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities- Strategic Planning: Collaborate with our Vice President of Manufacturing Operations to develop and implement strategic plans that drive business growth and improve operational efficiency.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance quality standards.
- Operational Excellence: Develop and maintain rigorous methods and processes to ensure operational excellence and high levels of productivity.
- Leadership and Team Management: Lead and manage a team of professionals to achieve operational objectives and drive business results.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of services and achieve business objectives.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor and measure operational performance against market indicators and best practices.
- Project Management: Plan, direct, and support operational activities and projects to achieve business objectives.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement best practices in continuous improvement throughout the organization.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and manage operational risks to minimize exposure.
- Health and Safety: Develop and implement health and safety plans to ensure a safe working environment.
- Audits and Compliance: Participate in audits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Qualifications and Experience
A Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Production Operations Management, or any other combination of education and experience may be considered. At least five (5) years of experience in a director role, with demonstrated experience in multisite management. Significant experience in the manufacturing industry, preferably in the agri-food sector or other high-volume, high-speed production sector. A recognized certification in Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement, or equivalent experience. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to engage people, make courageous decisions, and inspire confidence. Superior analytical and synthesis skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects. Excellent interpersonal, communication, persuasion, and negotiation skills. Results-oriented, with a focus on problem-solving and rapid decision-making. Ability to travel up to 33%.
