Job Summary

The Project Manager - Operations Accounting will oversee the implementation of operations accounting projects and ensure their successful completion. This role reports directly to the Vice-president - Operations Accounting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation, and implement recommended changes.
  • Participate in the implementation of new systems, including testing and configuration in SAP.
  • Ensure the accuracy and validity of transaction data in the computer system.
  • Develop and maintain financial reports and dashboards to support informed decision-making.
  • Collaborate in the establishment of relevant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest SAP system developments and identify areas for improvement.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in BI and SAP, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Contribute to the month-end process and annual budget process.
  • Implement management tools and standardize departmental procedures.
  • Provide backup support to the operations accounting team in case of absences or unexpected events.
  • Assume a functional analyst role in collaboration with the IT department.
  • Participate in acquisitions and integration of new entities.
  • Train and onboard new team members.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or economics.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Experience in finance and control within a multinational company.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is an asset.
  • Proficiency in Excel is required.
  • Knowledge of SAP software is an asset.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration orientation.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Dynamic and results-oriented individual.
