We are seeking a highly skilled Junior Financial Analyst to join our Finance team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in providing financial advisory services to our operational and corporate business units.
This role involves collaborating with various teams to develop analytical tools for stakeholders, focusing on Continuing Care Finance Team. Your work will enhance Finance operations and provide insights into NSH operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality financial analysis and reporting
- Support Leaders with financial results and insights
- Monthly forecasting and variance analysis
- Identify process improvement opportunities
- Conduct cost driver analysis
- Perform month-end accounting duties
- Collaborate on process improvements
- Advise on budget decisions
- Contribute to business case development
- Present financial results
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Graduate of a recognized business/accounting program
- CPA designation (or in progress)
- Understanding of Finance and performance indicators
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Strong Excel skills
- Technology skills considered an asset
- Healthcare knowledge is a plus

Hours and CompensationThis is a full-time position with a long assignment duration. The compensation package includes an hourly rate, benefits, and a pension plan.
