Senior Financial Analyst

Meridia Recruitment Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join their team. As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive financial analysis for multiple sites and divisions, identifying key trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain complex financial models in Excel.
  • Create and manage dashboards and reports in Power BI to provide real-time insights and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Lead bottom-up forecasting and budgeting for the company, working closely with business leaders to gather inputs, validate assumptions, and ensure alignment with overall company KPIs.
  • Analyze financial performance against budget and forecast, providing detailed variance analysis and actionable recommendations.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives, financial planning, and business performance reviews.
  • Provide guidance to non-financial business leaders and engage in a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Requirements:

  • Post Secondary education in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. Graduate level education (MBA) and/or professional designations (CFA or CPA) is desired.
  • Experience working in high growth organization(s) with a focus on multi-site/multi-division environment would be a significant asset.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel as well as with data visualization tools (Power BI) and complex modelling and reporting.
  • Proven track record in bottom-up forecasting and budgeting, with the ability to manage multiple inputs and validate assumptions.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage competing priorities leveraging sound attention to detail and strong organization skills.
  • Strong communication skills, with ability to communicate at all levels in the organization.
  • Curiosity and an action-oriented mindset.
  • Experience working with PE firms would be a strong asset.
