About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Junior Financial Analyst to join our Finance team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in providing financial advisory services to various business units and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality financial analysis and insights to support business decision-making
  • Develop and maintain financial models and tools to support financial planning and analysis
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings
  • Provide financial guidance and support to Directors, Managers, and Physician Leaders
  • Conduct financial forecasting and variance analysis to inform business decisions

About You:

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual with a strong analytical mindset and excellent communication skills. You should have a solid understanding of financial concepts and principles, as well as experience with financial software and tools.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of a recognized post-secondary business and/or accounting program
  • Enrolment or completion of CPA designation considered an asset
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual thinking skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines

What We Offer:

We offer a competitive salary range of $26.92 - $33.65 hourly, as well as a comprehensive benefits package and a defined benefit pension plan.
