Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and implementation of a safety management system to prevent and control losses.
- Participate in incident prevention activities, including inspections, observations, and incident investigations.
- Act as an advisory resource to management and serve as a liaison with governmental agencies as needed.
- Ensure compliance with applicable health and safety regulations and standards.
- Provide training and education on health and safety procedures to employees.
- Investigate accidents and incidents and develop strategies to prevent reoccurrence.
Requirements
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of safety and health regulations and standards.
- Knowledge of industrial hygiene.
- Demonstrated experience with WCB processes and return to work programs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and safety management software.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
