About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Reservations Supervisor to join our team at Northwood Plaza Hotel and Banquet Room. As a key member of our front office team, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing all aspects of hotel reservations, ensuring seamless guest experiences and maximizing revenue opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Co-ordinate Activities: Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient and effective operations, including front desk, housekeeping, and food and beverage services.
  • Establish Work Schedules: Develop and implement work schedules and procedures to ensure optimal staffing levels and guest satisfaction.
  • Perform Supervisory Duties: Supervise and train staff in job duties, safety procedures, and company policies, ensuring compliance with hotel standards.
  • Prepare Reports: Compile and submit accurate and timely reports on reservations, occupancy, and revenue performance.
  • Resolve Work Problems: Identify and resolve guest complaints and issues in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring guest satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Assist Clients: Provide exceptional customer service to guests, responding to their needs and preferences in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Co-ordinate Work: Assign and review work tasks, ensuring that all staff members are aware of their responsibilities and deadlines.
  • Hire and Train Staff: Recruit, train, and develop staff members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Maintain Operations: Ensure the smooth operation of computer systems, equipment, and machinery, arranging for repairs and maintenance as needed.
  • Requisition Materials: Order and manage inventory of supplies and materials, ensuring that the hotel has the necessary resources to operate efficiently.

  • Support for Persons with Disabilities: Participate in initiatives that support persons with disabilities, including accessible recruitment policies and awareness training for employees.
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Participate in programs that support newcomers and refugees, including settlement needs, social and labour market integration, and foreign credential recognition.
