Occupational Health and Safety Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Health and Safety Officer to join our team at ADVANCE PALLET & CRATE LTD. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for our employees.
Key Responsibilities- Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree and 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
- Provide Training and Information: Develop and deliver training programs to employers, employees, and the general public on health and safety best practices.
- Policies and Procedures: Establish, implement, and maintain effective health and safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Workplace Inspections: Conduct regular workplace inspections to identify and mitigate safety and health hazards.
- Accident Investigations: Investigate workplace accidents and illnesses to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Health and Safety Plans: Develop and implement comprehensive health and safety plans to prevent injuries and illnesses.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all health and safety regulations are followed and maintained.
- Product and Process Inspections: Inspect products and processing methods to ensure compliance with health, quality, and safety regulations.
- Work Term and Language: This is a permanent position with English as the primary language of communication.
- Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
