About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Health and Safety Officer to join our team at ADVANCE PALLET & CRATE LTD. As an Occupational Health and Safety Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of our employees and the general public.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Health and Safety Plans

Develop and implement comprehensive health and safety plans to prevent workplace accidents and illnesses.

Inspect Workplaces for Safety or Health Hazards

Conduct regular inspections of our workplaces to identify potential safety and health hazards and implement corrective actions.

Investigate Workplace Accidents or Illnesses

Investigate all workplace accidents and illnesses to determine root causes and implement measures to prevent future incidents.

Provide Information/Training to Employers, Employees, and General Public

Provide regular training and information to employers, employees, and the general public on health and safety best practices.

Ensure Health and Safety Regulations are Followed

Ensure that all health and safety regulations are followed and that our workplaces are compliant with relevant laws and regulations.

Inspect Products and Processing Methods

Inspect our products and processing methods to ensure that they meet health and safety standards.

Prepare Reports and Ensure Compliance

Prepare regular reports on health and safety performance and ensure that our workplaces are compliant with relevant laws and regulations.

Requirements
  • Education

Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.

Experience

1 year to less than 2 years of experience in occupational health and safety.

Language

English language proficiency.

Work Term

Permanent position.

Hours

40 hours per week.
