We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Specialist to join our team at Walmart Canada. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe working environment for our associates and customers.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Implement Health and Safety Programs
Develop and implement comprehensive health and safety programs to identify and mitigate risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Conduct Workplace Inspections and AuditsConduct regular workplace inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Provide Training and GuidanceProvide training and guidance to associates on health and safety procedures, policies, and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
Analyze and Report Health and Safety DataAnalyze and report health and safety data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement, and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
Collaborate with Cross-Functional TeamsCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, management, and safety committees, to ensure effective implementation of health and safety initiatives.
Requirements- Education and Experience
A degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health and Safety, or a related field, and a minimum of 2 years of experience in a health and safety role.
Skills and QualificationsStrong knowledge of health and safety regulations, policies, and procedures; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to analyze data and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
What We OfferWe offer a competitive salary range of $54,000 to $68,000, depending on experience, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development.
