About the Role

The Abbotsford School District is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Elementary Itinerant Counsellor to join our team. As a Counsellor, you will provide emotional, social, and behavioral support to identified students across multiple elementary schools in the district.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide ongoing support to students, parents, and families through individual and group sessions
  • Collaborate with School-Based Teams and integrated care teams to develop and implement support plans
  • Liaise with district and community agencies to access resources and services for students
  • Support teachers and staff in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Counselling with a counselling practicum relevant to the school environment
  • Experience as a school counsellor at the Elementary Level
  • Training in violence, threat, risk assessment (VTRA) and non-violent crisis intervention certification
  • Eligible for B.C. Certification
