**About the Role**

The Sun Peaks Grand Hotel & Conference Centre is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Housekeeping Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Housekeeping Leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and hospitality in our guest rooms and public areas.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Act as the 'Service Champion' for the Housekeeping department, role modeling welcoming hospitality and exemplifying excellence in all tasks that impact the guest experience.
  • Ensure guest requests and issues are resolved in a timely, friendly and efficient manner, optimizing guest satisfaction.
  • Assist in analyzing service/satisfaction data from our property management system and identify trends to inform collaborative action planning for the housekeeping team.
  • Work closely with the Maintenance department in the ongoing preservation and maintenance of the hotel.
  • Maintain a safety culture within the housekeeping department, ensuring active departmental participation, adherence, and awareness to hotel and workplace safety standards.
  • Will be required to work various shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

**Ideal Candidate**

  • 1-2 years' minimum experience in a senior Housekeeping role within a hotel/resort setting.
  • Post-secondary education in Hospitality/Tourism or a related discipline preferred.
  • Energetic and outgoing with a positive attitude, driven to deliver elevated guest experiences.
  • Professional and well-organized with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and ability to think on your feet.
  • Highly responsible self-starter and reliable team player, with the ability to remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have the ability to supervise, mentor, train, and motivate the team.
  • A working knowledge of hotel systems, specifically our property management system, would be a substantial benefit.
  • Working knowledge of basic and complex cleaning machinery and tools.
  • A developing level of financial understanding and ability to interpret financial statements.
