Role Overview

Mechanical Proficiency: Exhibit comprehensive knowledge of conveyor systems, encompassing belts, rollers, pulleys, motors, and other mechanical elements. Conduct detailed evaluations of conveyor systems to identify enhancement and optimization opportunities. Electrical and Control Systems Coordination: Grasp the interaction between electrical/control systems and mechanical conveyor components to ensure integrated and efficient operation. Collaborate with electrical engineers and control specialists to design, implement, and troubleshoot conveyor control systems. Design and 3D Visualization: Employ design and 3D modeling software to generate precise designs of conveyor systems and components, ensuring compatibility with product models and facility layouts to optimize space and workflow efficiency. Maintenance and Diagnostics: Offer support for the upkeep and troubleshooting of conveyor systems, diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electrical challenges as they arise. Develop and execute preventive maintenance strategies to guarantee the reliability and durability of conveyor systems. Project Assistance: Aid in the planning and execution of conveyor-related initiatives, providing technical expertise and support as required. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation of conveyor system upgrades or installations. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain precise records of conveyor system designs, modifications, and maintenance activities. Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings, recommendations, and project status to stakeholders and management.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline. At least 5 years of experience in conveyor systems design, maintenance, or troubleshooting within the automotive sector. Proficient in mechanical engineering principles, with a robust understanding of conveyor system components and functionality. Experience with electrical/control systems and their integration with mechanical conveyor components. Skilled in design and 3D modeling software, such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar tools. Familiarity with product models and facility layouts, with the capability to integrate conveyor system designs into existing environments. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to effectively diagnose and resolve complex issues. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a talent for collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams. Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement in all aspects of conveyor system operations. Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and work efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.
