Job Summary

V2Soft is seeking an experienced Electrical Systems Engineer to join our team. As an Electrical Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining electrical systems for our facilities.

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement electrical systems, including power distribution, controls, and lighting.
  • Investigate and resolve electrical system deficiencies and ensure compliance with applicable codes and regulations.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to provide solutions for electrical system upgrades and maintenance.
  • Develop and manage electrical system projects, including scope development, bid process, and project management.
  • Manage outside contractor services for electrical system maintenance and repairs.
  • Develop and promote efficiency improvements in electrical systems to reduce utility usage and maintenance costs.
  • Ensure owner's interests are protected with respect to health and safety, cost, schedule, liability, and function on electrical system projects.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical systems engineering, including power distribution, controls, and lighting.
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC, utilities, air compressors, cooling towers, and bridge cranes.
  • Detailed knowledge of Ontario Building Code, Ontario Electrical Safety Code, TSSA standards, OHSA, CSA, and local by-laws.
  • Ability to interpret and develop electrical and mechanical drawings and specifications.
  • Experience in the use of AutoCAD, Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint, and Google Sheets.
  • Experience working in a unionized environment.
  • Strong project management skills, organizational skills, teamwork, written and verbal communication.
