About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Administrative Officer to join our team at Woodstock Grocers. As an Administrative Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to our management team, including preparing reports, managing files, and coordinating meetings.
  • Office Management: Oversee the maintenance of our office, including ensuring that all equipment and supplies are in good working order.
  • Communication: Develop and maintain effective communication with our staff, customers, and stakeholders.
  • Record Management: Administer policies and procedures related to the release of records in processing requests under government access to information and privacy legislation.
  • Financial Management: Assist in the preparation of our operating budget and maintain inventory and budgetary controls.
  • Reporting: Assemble data and prepare periodic and special reports, manuals, and correspondence.
  • Training and Development: Train staff on new procedures and policies.
  • Payroll Administration: Oversee payroll administration.
  • Budgeting and Expenditures: Plan and control budget and expenditures.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in an administrative role.
  • Work Setting: Various locations.
  • Computer and Technology Knowledge: Proficient in MS Office, MS Windows, and other relevant software.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work under pressure and maintain attention to detail.
  • Personal Suitability: Excellent interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, organized, ability to multitask, and time management skills.
