Job Title: Medical Office Assistant Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Office Assistant to join our team at Medicentres. As a Medical Office Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service to our patients, while also supporting our physicians and medical staff. Key Responsibilities: * Provide administrative support to physicians and medical staff, including answering phones, greeting patients, and registering them for appointments * Manage patient panels, including responding to patient inquiries and initiating forms for services not covered by insurance * Escort patients to exam or treatment rooms and prepare them for physician visits * Clean and prepare exam and treatment rooms between patient visits * Perform diagnostic testing, including urinalysis, and take vital signs as ordered by the physician * Scan patient documents into electronic medical records as required * Complete daily, monthly, and weekly chore lists as assigned Requirements: * High school diploma or equivalent * Medical Office Assistant Qualification is an asset * Recent customer service experience * Experience with Med Access or Electronic Medical Records * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Problem-solving skills * Proficiency in medical terminology is an asset * Ability to handle confidential information in compliance with the Health Information Act Internal and External Communications: * Physicians * Clinic Support Office departments (IT, Accounting, Human Resources) * Vendors * Suppliers * Patients About Us: Medicentres is a growing network of professionally managed healthcare clinics dedicated to providing accessible healthcare to patients across Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Ontario.
