About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Culinary Team Member to join our team at Guac Mexi Grill St Catherines. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of food preparation and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Execution

Plan and prepare menus that meet the dietary needs of our customers, taking into account seasonal ingredients and nutritional requirements.

Culinary Leadership

Train and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to prepare and present dishes to the highest standard.

Supply Chain Management

Order and manage the supply of ingredients and equipment, ensuring that our kitchen is well-stocked and efficient.

Food Safety and Quality

Ensure that all food is prepared and presented to the highest standard of quality and safety, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations.

Team Collaboration

Work collaboratively with other members of the kitchen team to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Requirements
  • Education

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience

7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role

Skills

Excellent culinary skills, with the ability to plan and prepare menus, train staff, and manage supplies

Personal Qualities

Strong attention to detail, ability to work under pressure, and excellent time management skills

Working Conditions

This is a permanent, full-time position, working 30 hours per week. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with a focus on providing excellent customer service and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
