Position Overview:

The Product Owner II for KYC is tasked with ensuring that one or more development teams deliver value to the organization through customer-centric product increments. This role involves collaborating with other Product Owners and senior leadership to adhere to a product vision, maintaining a prioritized product backlog, managing delivery obstacles, and consistently evaluating customer feedback. The Product Owner II must focus on maximizing value, exploring continuous improvement opportunities for both the product and the delivery process, fostering a positive work culture, and upholding Agile principles of transparency, collaboration, and engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Formulate and implement the KYC (Know Your Customer) product strategy and planning process to set priorities and drive transformation.
  2. Oversee the complete lifecycle management of business capabilities to effectively support the KYC program and develop, execute, and refine long-term Product/Business Capability Roadmaps.
  3. Contribute to the overall health of the KYC product group, including OKR, maturity metrics, financials, capacity, KPIs, and KRIs.
  4. Challenge conventional practices and provide innovative leadership in KYC control solutions that meet regulatory standards while delivering exceptional customer and colleague experiences.
  5. Collaborate with senior business leaders to ensure that our product capabilities and solutions align with functional requirements and are designed for optimal effectiveness, with support from AVP, KYC Engineering.
  6. Mobilize teams, ensure alignment, manage interdependencies, and prioritize efforts with partners to achieve maximum value.
  7. Proactively align with the three lines of defense strategy and cultivate strong relationships with AML Compliance, Lines of Business, and other control functions to meet regulatory requirements.
  8. Assist in any regulatory examinations, audits, or relevant control execution and reviews of KYC Products.
  9. Oversee vendor services and the associated risks linked to KYC Products.

Qualifications:

  1. Expertise in AML/KYC Customer Due Diligence (ACAMS or CAMS certification preferred)
  2. Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification or experience in Product Ownership/Management or Agile delivery
  3. Ability to support swift, straightforward, and agile decision-making processes
  4. Skills in conflict resolution, partnership building, and resilience under pressure
  5. Technologically adept with demonstrated experience in technical project environments
  6. Experience managing customer and/or commercial portfolios
  7. Financial management proficiency
  8. Strategic development capabilities
  9. Business process enhancement experience
  10. Senior-level relationship management skills
  11. Experience in people management or team development is advantageous
