Position Overview:

The Senior Product Owner for KYC Solutions is tasked with guaranteeing that one or multiple development teams deliver value to the organization through customer-centric product increments. This role involves collaborating with other Product Owners and upper management to adhere to a product vision, maintaining a prioritized product backlog, addressing delivery impediments, and consistently evaluating customer feedback. The Senior Product Owner should focus on maximizing value, exploring opportunities for product and process enhancements, fostering a positive work atmosphere, and ensuring that work aligns with Agile principles of transparency, collaboration, and engagement. This position primarily supports KYC initiatives for AMCB (US) while being based in Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and implement the strategic planning process for KYC (Know Your Customer) products to set priorities and drive transformation.
  2. Oversee the complete lifecycle management of business capabilities to effectively support the KYC program and develop, execute, and refine long-term Product/Business Capability Roadmaps.
  3. Contribute to the overall health of the KYC product group, including OKRs, maturity metrics, financials, capacity, KPIs, and KRIs.
  4. Challenge conventional approaches and provide innovative leadership in KYC control solutions that meet regulatory standards while delivering exceptional customer and employee experiences.
  5. Collaborate with senior business leaders to ensure product capabilities and solutions are aligned with functional requirements and that a suitable solution is designed, with support from AVP, KYC Engineering.
  6. Coordinate teams, ensure alignment, manage interdependencies, and prioritize with partners to achieve optimal value.
  7. Proactively align with the three lines of defense strategy and cultivate strong relationships with AML Compliance, Lines of Business, and other control functions to meet regulatory obligations.
  8. Assist in any regulatory examinations, audits, or relevant control execution and review of KYC Products.
  9. Manage vendor services and associated risks related to KYC Products.

Qualifications:

  1. Expertise in AML/KYC Customer Due Diligence (ACAMS or CAMS certification preferred)
  2. Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification or equivalent Agile delivery experience
  3. Support for speed, simplicity, and agility in decision-making and actions
  4. Conflict resolution skills, partnership building, and resilience under pressure
  5. Technologically proficient with demonstrated experience in technical projects
  6. Experience with customer and/or commercial portfolios
  7. Financial management skills
  8. Strategic development capabilities
  9. Business process enhancement experience
  10. Senior-level relationship management skills
  11. Experience in people management or team development is advantageous
