Claims Analyst IV, Casualty

We are seeking a highly skilled Claims Analyst IV, Casualty to join our team at AIG. As a key member of our Casualty Claims Unit, you will be responsible for handling complex commercial automobile claims, including environmental cleanup and third-party property damage.
Key Responsibilities- Review and analyze complex commercial auto claims to determine coverage and ensure compliance with operational guidelines.
- Prepare and communicate disclaimer and/or reservation of rights letters to underwriters, brokers, and insureds as needed.
- Investigate claims and provide direction to adjusters on investigation as required.
- Collaborate with legal counsel to bring about appropriate resolution of claims.
- Participate in mediation and ADR processes to resolve claims.
- Negotiate settlements directly with insureds and other parties.
- Issue payments within the required timeframe.
- Operate within best practices guidelines, including timely reserve review, notes, payment requests, and electronic diary management.
- Inform management of all complaints, large losses, coverage issues, and other relevant matters.
- Minimum 7 years of experience handling complex commercial automobile claims, including umbrella and excess.
- College or university degree or equivalent industry experience.
- Experience in managing litigation files and ability to make decisions and give directions to counsel and/or adjusters.
- Strong negotiating skills and excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to multi-task and work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Ability to manage workload effectively and efficiently, with a strong focus on prioritization.
- Proficient computer skills to navigate paperless claim file systems.
