Job Overview

CB Canada is seeking a Project Manager to lead the execution of Telecommunications, Network, and other Information Technology Transformation initiatives aimed at enhancing Software Asset Management (SAM). This role is critical in addressing the identified need for effective tracking and management of current software license holdings.

The Project Manager will play a key role in defining project scope, dependencies, and work breakdown structures, as well as developing necessary project artifacts to support SAM implementation. Additionally, the Project Manager will contribute to the creation of the Project Status Report and oversee the roadmaps and activities related to SAM, ensuring effective coordination with stakeholders.

All responsibilities will be carried out on-site within the designated operational region.

Key Responsibilities:

The tasks and deliverables may include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing activities related to sub-projects within the SAM program, identifying optimization opportunities for schedules and deliveries to meet overall program objectives;
  • Preparing documentation for both scheduled and unscheduled reporting;
  • Identifying potential risks and issues, and developing problem statements;
  • Providing ongoing progress reports on sub-projects at various lifecycle stages;
  • Engaging with stakeholders and other project managers to address and resolve challenges;
  • Creating plans, charts, tables, and diagrams to facilitate problem analysis and presentation;
  • Utilizing various project management tools effectively;
  • Developing presentations for diverse stakeholders and leading meetings and discussions.
Qualifications:

  • A university undergraduate degree or college diploma/certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution in any field; OR a Project Management Institute (PMI) certification.
  • A minimum of seven years of experience within the last ten years as a Project Manager overseeing the delivery of an IM/IT project with a budget of at least $5,000,000.
  • Five years of experience managing a TCP/IP router-based wide area network with over 150 router nodes.
  • Five years of experience leading a project team in collaboration with telecommunications service providers.
  • Experience as a Project Manager in telecommunication or network-related projects for governmental departments.
  • Familiarity with Project Management and Configuration Management Board practices.
  • One or more years of experience in conducting network support activities, including administration, support, and implementation.
  • One or more years of experience in a project management support role liaising with clients and Telecom Service Providers at a national level.
