Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Telecommunications Technician to join our team at 12653010 Canada Inc. as a key member of our technical staff. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing telecommunications equipment and networks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and Maintenance
    • Install, arrange, remove, and maintain telephone equipment, wiring, and associated hardware.
    • Inspect the operation of telecommunications equipment and identify any faults or issues.
  • Repair and Troubleshooting
    • Diagnose and locate equipment faults, and adjust, replace, or repair telecommunications equipment.
    • Test installed telephone systems to locate transmission faults and analyze test results to determine the cause of the issue.
  • Customer Service
    • Provide excellent customer service to clients, including on-site customer service and support.
    • Initiate the dispatch of appropriate repair personnel to resolve customer issues.
  • Technical Knowledge
    • Have a strong understanding of telephone systems, telecommunications systems, and computerized testing systems.
    • Be able to operate computerized testing systems to conduct service tests on customer lines and equipment.
  • Education and Experience
    • Hold a college, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
    • Have 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Work Environment
    • Work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
    • Be able to work outdoors, at heights, and in various locations.
  • Physical Demands
    • Be able to lift up to 45 kg (100 lbs) and work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
    • Have manual dexterity and be able to bend, crouch, and kneel.
  • Personal Qualities
    • Have excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Be a team player with strong initiative, judgement, and reliability.
Requirements
  • Education
    • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Skills
    • Strong understanding of telephone systems, telecommunications systems, and computerized testing systems.
